    When your rakau arrives, connect to its built-in web page from any smartphone or computer. Enter your stops, choose your display colour, and add a personal message. No app, no account, no technical knowledge needed. Full instructions included.

    Full RGB control means your display can be amber, white, green, blue, or anything in between. Match your interior or change it on a whim.

  • Any stops, anywhere in the UK

    Buses, trains, trams, river buses, or a combination. If it's in the UK and has a stop ID, rakau can show it.

  • Add a personal message

    Scroll a custom message alongside your departures — "HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!" or "WELCOME TO OUR HOME" — it's up to you.

  • No app needed

    Configure everything from any smartphone or computer via the rakau's built-in web page. No account, no downloads.

  • Handcrafted in plywood

    Every unit is made by hand in London, with carefully finished polished plywood and rounded corners.

  • Football results

    Choose from a wide range of leagues and competitions. Results scroll alongside your departures, or take over the display entirely. Yesterday's and today's results, up to 20 at a time.

The rakau ONE costs £600 and the rakau TWO costs £450. Usually available from stock — we also build to commission. Installation is straightforward and most customers do it themselves. If you're in the London area, we can install it for you for an additional £70.

rakau was born out of a simple idea — that the information displays we walk past every day deserve to be beautiful objects in their own right.

Every unit is designed and built by hand in our London workshop, using polished plywood and carefully engineered electronics. We've installed rakau signs in homes, offices and schools across the UK — and we build every one as if it's going on our own wall.

Precision crafted

The polished plywood case is carefully finished with smooth rounded corners and a deep reveal around the display. Every edge is sanded and polished by hand.

Built to last

Every layer of plywood is visible in the edge profile — a mark of quality that gets better the closer you look. The display is set behind a protective acrylic panel that keeps it looking sharp for years.
