We've been making the rakau ONE for nearly three years now. In that time we've installed it in homes, offices, schools and a few rather unexpected places — including a café in a converted Victorian underground toilet in central London, and a kitchen in Boston, Massachusetts.
Along the way, customers kept asking us the same question: is there a smaller version?
The answer, finally, is yes.
Meet the rakau TWO.
At 54cm wide and 14cm tall, the TWO is roughly half the size of the ONE. It's designed for spaces where the ONE might be too large — a kitchen shelf, a hallway wall, a bedroom or a home office. It can be wall-mounted like a picture frame, or simply placed on a surface without any installation at all.
Everything else is the same. Live bus, train, tram and river bus departures for any stop anywhere in the UK. Full RGB colour control — choose any colour from warm amber to cool white to vivid blue. A personal scrolling message. And our newest feature, football results from a wide range of leagues and competitions.
Like the ONE, the TWO is handcrafted in polished plywood in our London workshop. Every unit is made to order, with the same careful hand finishing — smooth rounded corners, a deep reveal around the display, and layers of plywood visible in the edge profile that get more beautiful the closer you look.
The rakau TWO costs £450 and is made to order. As with the ONE, we can install it for you if you're in the London area.
The rakau ONE remains available at £600. Both models share the same features and are built to the same standard in our London workshop.
